This trip has been really amazing so far, from last week skiing at Jackson and Targhee with my great friend Nick Economou, to now my Montana portion. Playing apres-ski at Moonlight Basin last Saturday was totally great, and I’m looking forward to playing there again this upcoming Sat. Feb 25th from 3:30 to 5:30pm in the Headwaters Grille. I’m staying in a cabin in a canyon on the Gallatin River, and started playing my fiddle and happened to push record on my phone. What you hear in the audio file below is an improvised tune that I’m calling the Gallatin Waltz!
Here’s the view from my cabin!
picking my way down through the rocks, my first day skiing in Montana. Whoa! this hike was super gnarly…
Hello, this is Andy Reiner, and while I am a fiddler, I am also a skier. I’m currently on a solo fiddle ski bum tour of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Sometimes I ski with friends and sometimes alone. I have a camera on my head, and my intention with this blog is to chronicle fluffy bits of 5 and a half weeks that I’ll spend out West in 2012, as well as other home ski movies that I’ve made and edited with friends. Videos may not show up in chronological order… Have fun! Pray for snow!
